I’m standing in front of the bathroom mirror, tears welling up in my eyes as I fight through yet another autoimmune flare. I want to feel sorry for myself and just sit on the floor and cry, but I don’t. I’ve been there, done that and I’m so over it. So I start thinking of ways to turn this awful feeling into something positive + beautiful ... and I began to make a list of all the life lessons I’ve learned over the past 7+ years of these chronic health struggles.
I first created this concept when I was pregnant with my son and didn’t have a whole lot of money to spend on an entire new maternity wardrobe. I invested in a few great basics and then learned how to mix and match those pieces within my closet to create endless outfit options that kept me feeling energized and inspired to get dressed everyday without spending tons of time getting ready.
It takes so much disciple and sacrifice, but every second is absolutely worth it. Anyone who tells you otherwise, either has never breastfed or just doesn’t remember correctly! The amazing health benefits for both mama and baby. And the extra time spent together is absolutely more than worth every late night pumping session, sore nipple, milk blister, or millionth nursing bra you try on! …

Homemade gifts are one of my favorite ways to give a gift that’s both personal + meaningful but doesn’t have to break the bank. As the years go by, our Christmas list has only grow bigger + bigger and DIY gifts have been a creative + fun way for us give heartfelt gifts + still stay on budget!
Or your toddler smeared raspberries all over his khaki shorts you were planning to use for family pictures next week? True story.

Hey, there! I hope you’re having a wonderful start to the month of June!
Pajamas are one of my favorite baby clothes to buy. They’re just so cute + snuggly and there’s really nothing better than putting a freshly washed babe in bedtime jammies. Now that it’s summer, I’ve been on the hunt for some new short jammies for my little guy. He already sweats like crazy in his sleep, so getting a few more pairs of short sleeves + shorts pajamas was a must for summer!
